"Ain't It Wonderful To Know What God Can Do? "

Will Solomon, the last of eight siblings and son of the late
Zack and Laddie Mae Wiggins
Solomon, was born on May 26, 1923 in Halifax County, North Carolina. He departed
this life, peacefully, on Wednesday morning
at 4:50 a.m. on May 12, 2010.

He was educated in the public school system of Halifax County, North Carolina.

Losing his mother at the age of five, he grew up in many homes, where he learned the value of love and family.

He confessed his faith in Christ early on in life and joined the Springfield Baptist Church in Littleton, North Carolina. But, in March of 2010, he desired to unite with his family and as he said, "So we can all worship and be together", he joined the Smith Chapel Baptist Church in Enfield, North Carolina under the leadership of Rev. Robert C. Farmer.

"Bud Zack" as he was called by many, loved life and never met a stranger. He treated people with a kind heart, and shared whatever he had with anyone. He loved to fish, hunt, and raise a garden. He believed in an honest days work and instilled in his children to be honest and respectful.

On November 19, 1949, he was united in Holy Matrimony to his wife, Esther Carroll. To this union, nine precious children were
born. One preceded him in death, a son, Milton Solomon.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, seven daughters: Carolyn Tiliman of Greensboro, NC, Marilyn Wilkins and husband, Nellow of Enfield, NC, Geraldine Malone of Gibsonville, NC, Vernesther Arlington, Yvonne Solomon, Shenile Solomon of the home, and Cassandra Galloway and husband, James of Greensboro, NC; one son: Elbert Will Solomon; one sister-in-law: Audrey Moore of Philadelphia, PA; one brother-in-law: Eddie Carroll of Philadelphia, PA; one aunt-in-law: Selma Lewis of Philadelphia, PA; eight precious grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; three grandchildren that he provided paternal support: Gregory Solomon, Adrian, and Edison Arlington; a devoted nephew: Charlie Solomon; a niece: Emma Hawkins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
