Mr. Wavie Wilkins was born in Halifax County on October 18, 1925 to the late Mr. Johnnie and Laura Wilkins. He grew up in the Drapers community
and attended Drapers school. He was employed at the Nash Brick Company for 42 years.
Wavie was married to Mary Silver and to this union four children were born. He was later married to Linda Lynch and to this union one child was born.
He was proceeded in death by one son, Waverly Darrell Wilkins. Four brothers Johnnie (Tee) Wilkins, Joe Wilkins. Two sisters Velma Hawkins, Laura Mae Whitaker.
He is survived by his wife Linda Lynch Wilkins of the home. Four daughters Lois Wilkins (Paul) , Mary Wayne Wilkins (James) of Rocky Mount, NC. Betsy Kay Wilkins of Enfield, NC, Angel Wilkins of the home. One step daughter Nickie Lynch Johnshon (Tim) of Enfield, NC and one step son Quiny Lynch (Lanequie) of Ronake Rapids, NC.
Three sisters in law Letha (Niecy) Lynch of Enfield, NC Versce Webb (Don) Wilson, NC, Angie Lynch of Bailey, NC. Two brother in laws, Tony Lynch and Darry Lynch (Shannon) both of Bailey, NC.
Twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Three sisters Geraldine Robinson (Arlington) and Earlene Artist (Bernard) of Richmand, VA. Claudia Crandall of Brooklyn, NY. A special niece Carmen and a host of other relatives and friends. Last but not least a very special friend Carrie (Buddy) Silver.
Wavie was a natural outdoorsman. He especially loved hunting and fishing among a number of outdoor activites.
