A graveside service will be held Tuesday May 12, 2020 at Smith Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery 15831 US-301, Enfield, NC 27823 at 11:00 am.

Walter Lee Tillery was born on December 23, 1969 to Susie and William Tillery (Deceased). He departed his earthly life on Thursday May 7, 2020. He graduated from Southeast High School. He attended Halifax Community College and N.C. Central University. He worked 20 years at Lumbering Companies, and most recently at Aerospace in Wilson until his death.

Those left to cherish his memory, are Marvin Smith (who he loved like a son). His brother Percell Simmons (wife, Brenda) of Halifax, NC, sister, Perline Baggett of Halifax, NC, brother Joe Simmons (wife, Deloris) of Enfield, NC, sister Barbara Taylor of Roanoke Rapids, NC, and sister Joann Tillery of Roanoke Rapids, NC, five nephews, Jerome, Devon, Alonzo, Rodney, and Marquel. Nephew (deceased) Michael Simmons. Seven nieces, Betty, Jean, Renee, Carolyn, Shemika, Shamanesha, Monique and Ronda. Twenty eight great nieces and nephews. Three great, great nieces and nephews. A special cousin Mildred Thomas, and a host of other cousins, family and friends. Special friends David Vine and Phillip Bandy.
