Vivian Miller Robinson, age 71, peacefully departed this earthly life on May 2, 2017. She was happily married to Leroy Robinson (deceased) for 49 years and they shared three beautiful children - Kimberley Ann Robinson of Weldon, NC, Teresa Raquel Robinson Freeman (Montré) of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Rickie Robinson of Rocky Mount, NC. She also leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Theresa Miller Cheek of the home and four grandchildren - Empress Raquelle Faison of Elizabeth City, NC, James Leroy Harold Robinson of Weldon, NC and Maléah Ellyse Freeman and Kingston Lenix Freeman, both of Roanoke Rapids, NC.

She attended Andrew Jackson Elementary School, Ralph J Bunche High School (1963 Graduate) and Fayetteville State University (1967 Honors Graduate with a BS Degree in Teaching). In 1965, she was initiated into the illustrious Sorority of Delta Sigma Theta and later became a Charter Member and the second President of the Enfield-Roanoke Rapids Alumnae Chapter and a Diamond Life Member with over 50 years of service in Delta. In 1967, she began her teaching career with Halifax County Schools and served as an English Teacher for 43 years throughout the following schools - Inborden High School, Enfield High School, Southeast Halifax High School, and Eastman Middle School. She is most proud of being a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Halifax where she served as a Deaconess, 1st President of the Women's Auxiliary and in numerous other capacities.

The Robinson Family has planned the following services to celebrate the life of Vivian Miller Robinson:

The Wake will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Enfield, NC. Members of the Enfield-Roanoke Rapids Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will perform the Omega Omega Service from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm during the Wake. This Ceremony is open to the public and all Delta members are asked to wear black attire with no pants.

The Funeral will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Evangelistic Church of Deliverance in Weldon, NC with Elder Clarence Harris, Sr. presiding and Rev. Tommie W. Arrington serving as eulogist. The Interment and fellowship with the Robinson Family and Friends will take place at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Enfield, NC.
