Tided Solomon was born to the late Mollie and Al Solomon on March 23, 1909. He departed his life on July 7, 2007 at Nash General Hospital in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Tided was the last survivor of ten children. He was the baby of them all. Tided was preceded in death by one daughter: Mollie; one son: Earl; three wives; Alice, Betsy and Anne Mae; two son-in-law: Leslie Nicholson, Dorsey Goins; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Tided received his education in Halifax County Public Schools, he worked as a farmer all of his life until his health failed him. He will forever be remembered by his nickname, "Bo" and always remembered for the giving spirit that he had.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories, one son; Wayne of the home; three daughters: Beatrice, Margaret and Hazel, all of Enfield, NC; one devoted friend, Calvin Pittman of Enfield, NC; one brother-in-law: Samuel Thorne (Lillie) of Baltimore, MO; two sisters-in-law: Magnoli Pittman of Enfield, NC and Elizabeth Marshall (Lorraine) of Manhattan, NY; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends.
