Mary Hill Jones was born January 17, 1941 to the late Perry and Elnora Hill. God called her to her eternal rest on July 17, 2007 at Nash General Hospital, Rocky Mount, North Carolina.
Mary was a member of the Evangelistic Church of Deliverance Weldon, North Carolina. She remained a faithful member until her illness prevented her from attending service. She was educated in the Halifax County School system. She was one of the longest lived patient on dialysis in the Rocky Mount Kidney Center. Mary enjoyed sitting in her yard under the tree talking to people and witnessing for the Lord. She will be missed by many.
One son, McDonald Hill and two sisters, Mattie Gorham and Helen Peterson preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her love and precious memory, a husband: Charles Jones; a grandson: Thomas Hill, both of the home; two sons: Ronald Hill (Deborah) of Enfield, NC and Travis Hill (Tina) of Rocky Mount, NC; two daughters: Prenessa Bryant (Fred) of Rocky Mount, NC and Stephanie Gorham (Eric) of Enfield, NC.; Ethel Silver, whom she called "daughter" of Enfield, NC; one sister: Carolyn Maynor of Snow Hill, NC; one uncle: Alex Davis (Zick); seventeen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; four sisters-in-law: Anna Jones, Daisy Jones, Vernell Pitts and Barbara Cherry; three brothers-in-law: Joe Jones, Owen Jones and Charlie Thomas; and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
