Mr. MacArthur Whitaker, Rico, was born in Enfield, North Carolina on June 26, 1947 to the late Moses and Lessie Robinson Whitaker. He departed this quiet and earthly life on February 9, 2008.
He was a devoted father and husband who leaves to cherish his memories, his wife: Julie Whitaker of Richmond, VA; two daughters: Lynette Jamal Carpenter and Michelle Latricia Bright, both of Richmond, VA; nine grandchildren: six sisters: Dedra Shakespeare and husband, James, Bernadine Ward and husband, Robert, Cherry Bradley and husband, Leroy, Marsheila Harvey and husband, Thomas, Beverly Bobbitt and husband, Leo and Clarissa Beasley and husband, William; two brothers: Bobby Robinson and wife, Patricia and Grover Whitaker; one aunt: Ella Mae Robinson; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and other dear friends.
