Lucille Love Jones was born to Ebb and Robena Lambert on 2/28/21 in Raleigh, North Carolina. She graduated from Washington High School. Lucille had a great mind for mathematics. She could calculate faster than most machines. She could also tell your age and date of birth of every member of the immediate family, including the children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Lucile had her eye on college until she met the late Benjamin Jones. On August 12, 1930 they were united in holy matrimony by Rev. Lawrence at 515 S. Saunders Street in Raleigh. From their union were born eight children: Barbara Forster-Jones, Switzerland; Benjamin Jones Jr., Augier; NC, Raymond Jones, Hempstead, NY; Joseph Jones, Macon, Ga.; Earl Jones, Brooklyn, NY; Carolyn Coore-Jones, New Haven, Ct.; Brenda A. Jones, deceased; Leverne Jones, Raleigh, NC; Robert E. Jones, Jacksonville, NC.

Lucille was an honest devoted mother. The welfare of her children was her main preoccupation. She made many sacrifices for them.

Lucille accepted Jesus as her lord and savior in 1958 while residing in Brooklyn, New York. She was brought to this conviction by hearing the words: "If you die today, where will you spend eternity?" She and her late husband, Benjamin Jones, joined the Holy Trinity Church of God in Christ, Brooklyn, New York under the pastor ship of the late Bishop Frank E. Cook. At Holy Trinity, she worked on the Mothers Board, Volunteer Workers, Prayer and Bible Band before returning to live in Raleigh, NC in 1988.

Upon their return, she and her husband became active members of the Abundant Life Christian Center Church of God in Christ. under the pastor ship of Supt. Stenneth Powell Sr.

Lucile L. Lambert-Jones fell asleep on Friday, July 27, 2007. She was laid to rest on Wednesday, August 1, 2007. She leaves to mourn 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.

Mother Jones' favorite words were: "God doesn't make any mistakes; He knows what He's doing."
