Louise "Lou" Moore Price, daughter of the late Ferman and Olivia Whitaker Moore was born in Halifax County, North Carolina on December 23, 1931 and departed this earthly life on Monday, April 13, 2009 in Richmond, Virginia.

Lou was a very loving and dedicated wife, mother, aunt, cousin, and friend to all. She believed in family and friends supporting each other. She loved her family and often spoke of planning a family reunion. Whenever you saw her anywhere, day or night, whether she was ill or well, she greeted you with a smile.

Lou had three brothers to precede her in death: Roland, Willie Herbert and Ellis. She was also preceded in death by her husband: Lee Ivory Price and daughter-in-law: Sheila Dickens.

Lou married Lee Dickens and to this union, one son was born whom she leaves to cherish her memory: Edward Dickens of Richmond, VA, whom she loved with all she had. Also left to cherish her memory are three sisters: Maude Lee Hill and Mary Whitaker, both of Enfield, NC, and Martha Ricks (Ernest) of Temple Hills, MD; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Her Journey's Life Just Begun

Don't think of her as gone away Her journey's just begun.

Life holds so many facets
This earth is only one.

Just think of her as resting,
From the sorrows and the tears;

In a place of warmth and comfort
Where there are no days and years.

Think how she must be wishing
That we could know today, How nothing but our sadness
Can really pass away.

And think of her as living
In the hearts of those she touched;

For nothing loved is ever lost
As she was loved so much.
