Lossie Mae Bryant was born on April 20, 1922 in Halifax County, North Carolina to the late Eddie and Annie Hill.

She became a member of Smith Chapel Baptist Church at an early age.
She was joined in marriage to Jessie Bryant.
In addition to her parents, Lossie was preceded in death by her husband; Jessie; four daughters: Isabell, Maxine, Belva and Harriet; two sons: Jessie, Jr. and Gerald; two sisters: Dorothy and Jettie; and two brothers: Casper and Charlie;.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her devoted daughters: Marie Williams, Cassie Scott and Carolyn Belk (Norman); two sons: James Bryant (Beatrice) and Harold Bryant; twenty-two grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren; twenty four great-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Earlene Hill, Mamie Edmonds (Josh); three brothers: Sterling Hill, Frank Hill, Edward Hill (Diane) and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
