Linda Lamontagne was born to Henry and Elnora Dickens on January 28, 1929 in Edgecombe County, North Carolina. She departed this earthly life on Saturday, August 10, 2024 in Brooklyn, New York.

Linda received her education in the Edgecombe County Public Schools. At the age of 21, she started life in Brooklyn, New York and joined Concord Baptist Church.  She truly loved the Lord. Linda worked as a Personal Certified Assistant (PCA) until she retired to enjoy time with her family.

Linda was very good at DIY (Do It Yourself) projects, making many creative pieces. She was an avid reader and loved to cook. She was a very generous giver to family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memories are her loving daughter, Darralyn Parker of Enfield, North Carolina; grandchildren, Anika Smallwood Harper and Yolanda Turner, both of Rocky Mount, NC, and Baffine Whitaker of Enfield, NC; her sisters, Carolyn Caudle of Maryland and Vernell Wright of South Carolina; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.

A Graveside Service was held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 11:00 am in the Cedarview Cemetery, 248 Meyer Street, Enfield, North Carolina. A Public Viewing was held on Friday, August 16, 2024 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Lea and Pope Funeral Home, 215 S. McDaniel Street, Enfield, North Carolina.
