Juanita H. Booth of Raleigh, NC was surrounded by her family when she died of Multiple Myeloma on July 7,2010.
Mrs. Booth was born in Jersey City, NJ, October 30,1937, daughter of the late Rensselear Thornton Hoffman and Mable Augusta Harper (Nee).
Mrs. Booth was retired from the Dept of Army, where she served as Contracting Officer in the Electronics Technology and Devices Laboratory at Fort Monmouth, NJ. She retired in 1994 after 28 years of service. Prior to her government service, she worked as Secretary/ Receptionist at the YMCA in Red Bank, NJ and the Children's Psychiatric Center in Eatontown, NJ. She moved to Lincoln, DE in 1996, and then to Raleigh, NC in 2006.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Harrison Gaines, Clifford Gaines, Howard Gaines and Walter Gaines; her sisters: Lillian Winfield, Grace Hooks and Ruth Minney.
She is survived by her daughters: Ramona L. Cummings of Raleigh, NC and Wanda Fisher of Neptune, NJ; her sons: Stephen L. Kearney and wife Constance of Lakewood, NJ and Warren H. Booth Jr. of Fort Lee, NJ. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Lamumba Brown, Jahmal Fisher, Marlena Young and husband Nick, Jon Cummings Jr., Ashley Hill-Kearney, Brie Kearney and Koree Kearney; four great¬grandchildren: Justin Fisher, Nya Cummings-Young, Justyn Young and Brianna Young; her brother: Rensselear T. Hoffman and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Booth was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed being with her family, reading, music, and until she became ill, she was an avid gardener.

There will be a private memorial service at Body of Christ Church on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 11am.
