Johnny Mack Pittman was born on December 29, 1951 to Daisy L. Whitaker and Jessie Parker. His journey came to an end on Friday, December 19, 2008 at Nash General Hospital in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.
Johnny received his education in the Halifax County Public School System. He was employed with GS Concrete Work in Rocky Mount, North Carolina as a Cement Finisher for 19 years.
Four brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his love and his memories one son: Avery Pittman (Windy) of Rocky Mount, NC; one daughter: Anita Pittman (Rodney) of Rocky Mount, NC; his mother: Daisy Whitaker of Ayden, NC; four brothers: Lewis Pittman (Cynthia) of Washington, DC, Donald Parker (Minnie) of Scotland Neck, NC, Charles Parker of Rocky Mount, NC, and Calvin Parker (Geraldine) of Enfield, NC; eleven sisters: Magalene Parker of Enfield, NC, Lisa Ann Whitaker of Ayden, NC, Joyce Cherry (Joe) of Ayden, NC, Jacqueline Whitaker of Ayden, NC, Evone Paige of Ayden, NC, Lenora Whitaker of Greenville, NC, Sara Brown of Greenville, NC, Ethel Silver (Ray), Mary Joyner (Melvin), Betty Burnette, and Patricia Parker, all of Enfield, NC; four grandchildren: Avie, Amber, Kara, and Elijah, all of Rocky Mount, NC; two uncles: Eugene Parker and Robert Pittman; one godchild: Janice Brinkley of Rocky Mount, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
