Miss Hattie Lee Silver, daughter of the late Johnnie and Sadie Allen Silver, was born on November 4, 1917 in Halifax County, North Carolina. She went into eternal rest on August 24, 2007, at Nash General Hospital in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.

She joined First Baptist Church and was a faithful member until her health began to fail.

She worked many years and retired from Columbian Peanut Company in Enfield, North Carolina.

Five brothers preceded her in death: Dee Silver, Johnnie Silver, Henry Silver, Herman Silver, and Willie Silver. One sister preceded her in death; Geneva Silver.

Though no children were born of her own, she motherly reared many nieces and nephews. She patiently and lovingly kept one great-great niece until school-age; Jhanetta Shaunee Nicholson.

She leaves to cherish her memory; three sisters, Victoria Silver Howington, Dorothy Silver Marshall, and Laura Mae Silver Cousar, all of Enfield, North Carolina, one sister-in-law; Naomi Silver of Enfield, North Carolina, thirteen nieces, twelve nephews, two great nieces of the home, Shanetta and Jhanetta; a host of other great nieces, great nephews, other relatives, friends, and neighbors who are too numerous to name.
