OBITUARY

Gid "Sandy" Lee, Jr. was the eldest child born to Gid Lee, Sr. and Lillie Mae Solomon Lee. He was born on December 21, 1939

in Halifax County, NC. He departed this life on March 16, 2021 at Vidant Edgecombe Hospital in Tarboro, NC.

In the past, Sandy attended Greater Saints Chapel Baptist Church in Enfield, NC. He attended the Halifax County Public School System. Sandy was a jack of all trades to include working at Bailey Music Co., a tobacco factory, as a car salesman, security guard and truck driver, just to name a few. Sandy was known for his flashy, stylist dress and love for Cadillac's.

Sandy was united in holy matrimony to Barbara Smith Lee.

Sandy was preceded in death by his parents, Gid and Lillie Mae Lee.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Barbara Smith Lee of the home, sons, Jerry Lee (Marie) of Virginia, Larry Lee of Virginia, Dr. Mark Anthony Lee of Rocky Mount, NC, and Sandy Lee Lloyd of Kinston, NC and daughter, Sandra Lee Lloyd of Rocky Mount, NC, two step children, Willie Epps, Jr. of Norfolk Va and Clifton Epps of Wilson, NC; other children he treated as his own, Phyllis Lloyd, Katrina Lloyd Dew, Patrick Lloyd, Patricia Lloyd and Robert Lloyd; Five brothers, James Lee (Clara) of Enfield, NC, Clarence Lee of Rocky Mount, NC, Earl Lee and Earvin Lee, both of Enfield, NC and Ealson Lee (Sarah) of Roanoke Rapids, NC; six sisters, Claytee Person and Doretha Lee of Enfield, NC, Helena Cofield of Rocky Mount, NC, Gail Braswell (James) of Rocky Mount, NC, Mamie Harvey (Michael)of Enfield, NC and Saunders Stewart (Ricky) of Rocky Mount, NC; one uncle, Norman Solomon (Mamie) of Enfield, NC and one aunt, Mamie Jenkins of Enfield, NC; one sister in law, Dorothy Lee, 20 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will all miss him dearly.
