Miss Florence Macon was born to the late Jessie and Beatrice Macon on March 17, 1940 in Halifax County, North Carolina. She departed this life on December 2, 2009.

She joined Ivory Hill Baptist Church where she remained a member until her death.

She leaves to cherish her memory, five sisters: Lillie Macon and Lola Macon of the home, Beulah Hedgepeth of Enfield, NC, Pearl McGee (Otis) of Enfield, NC, and Libby Hedgepeth of Hollister, NC; three brothers: Bud Macon (Mollie) of Enfield, NC, Henry Macon (Arlean) of Enfield, NC, and Ernest Macon of the home; a best friend: Eartie Macon; three sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; 12 nephews; 20 nieces; and a host of other relatives and friends.

With heavy hearts we turn to God
To find relief from sorrow;
We pray for strength and courage,
As we face each new tomorrow.
Then from within, we hear a voice,
That sets our spirits free;
Be comforted, live now in faith,
Your loved one is with Me.
