On early Friday morning, June 20, 2008, our Heavenly Father called home D'wayne Lee Peterson, born to Betty Ann Peterson and the late Charlie Jeff Pitts.
D"wayne was educated through the Halifax County Public School System. He was loved very much by family and friends in the Haliax Communty.
In addition to his father, D'wayne was preceded in death by two grandparents: Margie Peterson and Allie Mae Pitts.
D"wayne was a loving father, son and friend. He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother: Betty Ann Peterson of Enfield, NC; his grandmother: Corina McWilliams of Enfield, NC; three sons: Maurion S. Peterson of Oxford, VA, Marjay Johnson of Rocky Mount, NC and D'wayne Lee Peterson of Enfield, NC; six brothers: Timothy Peterson of Enfield, NC, Calvin and Charlie Pitts of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Anthony Peterson of Bahrain, Mark and Lamont Peterson of Halifax, NC; seven uncles; nine aunts, thirteen nieces, nine nephews; a special great-great niece: TaJasia Pitts; a best friend: Timothy Bailey of Tim Buck; a special friend: Takiyah Arrington; and host of other relatives and many friends.
