Dorothy Louise Hill, the daughter of the late Eddie and Annie Wade Hill, was born Sept. 12, 1930 in Halifax County, North Carolina. At an early age, Dorothy joined the Smith Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Enfield, North Carolina. Dorothy was proceeded in death by two brothers, Casper and Charlie Hill, Sr., one sister, Jettie Hill, and two sister-in-laws, Mother Louise Hill and Annette Cofield Hill.
She leaves to cherish her memories, three sisters, Earlene Hill of the home, Mamie Edmond(James) of Scotland Neck, NC and Lossie Bryant of Charlotte, NC;three brothers, Frank Hill of the home, Edward Hill(Ann) of Enfield, NC and Sterling Hill, a resident of The Wood Haven Rest Home, Enfield, NC. Dorothy leaves seven nieces, Carolyn Belk(Norman) of Charlotte, NC, Margaret James(Robert) of Scotland Neck, NC, Carolyn Holley(QC) of Portsmouth, Va, Betty Debrew(William) of Scotland Neck, NC, Sharon and Felecia Hill of Enfield, NC and Vergie Hudson of Richmond, Va; five nephews, Charlie Hill(Mollie) and George Edmond(Sharon) of Rocky Mount, NC, Dr. Benjamin Hill(Jen'ee) of Nashville, Tenn., Casper and James Edmond, Jr.,(Louise) of Scotland Neck, NC; a very devoted and faithful friend and caretaker, Ms. Lizzie Bobbitt of Enfield, NC and a host of wonderful relatives and friends.
