Doretha Pierce was bom on November 22, 1944 in Halifax County and departed this life on August 2, 2007 at Nash General Hospital in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Annie Mae Pierce of Halifax.
Doretha sought to be closer to God and became a member of Crowell Baptist Church at an early age. She was a faithful and devoted member up until her health started declining.
She was a very dedicated member of the Concerned Citizens of Tillery,
Doretha was a loving and sharing person that never failed to touch all who knew her.
