DARRELL DE-WAYNE MARSHALL, son of Edna Marshall-Williams and Elijah Lynch, was born August 15, 1966 in Halifax County, North Carolina.
He obtained his education through the public schools of Halifax County and later received Basic Training at Fort Benning, Georgia.

He was baptized and joined First Baptist Church, Enfield, North Carolina at the age of fifteen under the pastor ship of the Rev. Lonnie M. Braswell.

Darrell departed this life on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at his home. He was affectionately known as "Hoot", and was a devoted family member who loved to cook, plan family vacations, and make everyone laugh.

Darrell leaves treasured memories with his mother: Edna Marshall-Williams of the home; his father: Elijah Lynch of the Medoc Community, Enfield, North Carolina; his children: Dyshawn, Shantrail, Daricka, Judarrell, Deaira, Zakwoiyah, Daquan, Ja'Kaveyon, and Ma'Kayla; his god-children: Laviyun and Laviyuna; his grandmother: Dorothy Silver Marshall of the home; his brothers: Dwayne Edward Marshall of Oxon Hill, Md., Tokeo Marshall of the home, Gerald, Kenneth, Gary, and Dwayne; his sisters: Annette, Minister Patricia Wilkins(Eddie), Charlotte, Shannon, Yolanda, Tameka, Anecia, Sharunda,Retha Arrington(Leon), Carolyn Saunders(Blane) and Rebecca; his aunts: Karen Jarrell(Stokey), of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, Lou-Wanda Marshall of the home, Lisa Evans and Adele Lynch, both of Enfield, North Carolina; his great aunts: Laura M. Cousar and Victoria S.
