~ Obituary ~

Corean Hendrick-Adams Greene was born on December 6, 1938 in Halifax County, NC to the late Rev. Hector and Palmer Thorne Hendrick. She departed this earthly life Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Nash General Hospital, Rocky Mount, NC.

At an early age she was joined in holy matrimony to the late Robert Adams, Jr. To this union two children were born. In July 1985 she married William H. Greene. She worked at Bergen Pines Hospital, in Paramus, NJ, where she retired and moved back to Enfield, NC.

She became a member of Plumbline Unity Holy Church where she was an active member, and faithful servant; we called her a mother to many. Corean was loving, nurturing, and caring to all.

She was preceded in death by three brothers: David, Hector Jr. and Kelly; two sisters, Mattie Jean Johnson and Earline Hendrick.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, William Greene of the home; one son, Larry Adams (Monica) of Camden, SC; one daughter, Joyce Adams of Rocky Mount, NC; one granddaughter, Robin Turnage of the home; one grandson, Marquis Whitney of Dunn, NC; one goddaughter Felecia Ritter of Columbia, SC; one brother, Clifton Hendrick (Wilhemina) of Greensboro, NC; four sisters: Marie Pierce of Enfield, NC, Odell Pitts of Rocky Mount, NC, WilliaMae Pitts of Brooklyn, NY and Clementine Gadson (Aron) of St. George, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
