Obituary

Cleveland (Boot) Parker was born July 22, 1921 in Edgecombe County, North Carolina to the late Charlie and Relha Draughn Parker.

He went to school in Halifax County. Cleveland loved to cook. He was loved by all family, friends, and neighbors. Cleveland love to work on the farm.
Cleveland was married to the late Pauline Marrow Parker and to this union five children were born. He later married Esther Mae Gary Parker.

Boot was preceded in death by his sisters: Mary Lou Whitaker, Jane Bell and Salma Beatrice Tillery; brothers: Moses, James Lee, Joe Lee, Samuel, Willie Lee and Robert Lee Parker.
On March 1, 2007, Cleveland closed his eyes and went home peacefully.

Boot leaves to cherish his many fond memories, his wife: Esther Mae Gary Parker; three daughters: Elizabeth Taylor (Stoney), Lillie Mae Simmons of Richmond, VA and Minnie Dozier (Collin) of Enfield, NC; two sons: John Richard Marrow (Earline) of Paterson, NJ and Cleveland Marrow (Bea) of Richmond, VA; seventeen grandchildren; forty-five great¬grandchildren and twenty-four great-great-grandchildren; sister: Lillie Mae Mosley of Enfield, IMC and brother: Emesl Lee Parker of Richmond, VA; a devoted caregiver: Elaine Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.

While we cannot understand
Why certain things should be,
Remember God in Heaven beholds
What we cannot see.
