Charlotte Sanders Sloan, the beloved daughter of the late William and Varia Sanders, was born on September 27, 1932 in Clayton, North Carolina. She peacefully departed this life on
March 26, 2010 at Rex Hospital.

Charlotte joined Johnston Piney Grove Baptist Church at an early age and later joined Smith Temple Free Will Baptist Church. She served as a Mother of the church, as Treasurer of the Pastor's Aide, and Secretary of Home Mission.

Charlotte was educated in the former William Mason Cooper High School in Clayton, North Carolina. In her early years, she worked for S&W Cafeteria where she met her loving husband. Charlotte was later employed by Westinghouse where she worked for many years until her retirement.

Charlotte was a devoted wife, mother and friend. She loved cooking and baking for family and friends. You could always confide in Charlotte, and she always gave you her honest opinion.

Charlotte leaves to cherish her precious memories, her husband: Deacon Ernest Sloan; her daughter: Cassandra Sloan of Atlanta, GA; one sister: Aruth Mitchell of Clayton, NC; one brother: John Edward Sanders (Cammie) of Raleigh, NC; four sisters-in-law: Elnora Sanders of Raleigh, NC, Annie Mae Sanders of Henderson, NC, Maggie Ruth Thorb of Knightdale, NC, and Margaret Ann Sloan of Rose Hill, NC; one brother-in-law: James A. Byrd, Sr.; one God-daughter: Pamela Hinton of Raleigh, NC; one God-granddaughter: Brionna Hinton;
