Charlie Harris was born in Wake County on October 8, 1918 to the late Lillie Carrington and Jonah
Harris. He had one brother John and one sister Clyna
Upchurch (who preceded him in death).
He departed this life on Friday, March 2, 2007.
Charlie was reared in Wake County and attended Wake County Public Schools. He worked as a mechanic the majority of his adult life. He was joined in holy matrimony to Mary on June 26, 1989. He joined Pleasant Union Christian Church after moving into the community. He decided to rededicate his life to Christ and was re-baptized by his esteemed pastor, Rev. Michael Allen. Charlie loved God, his wife and family and he love to fish.
Charlie leaves to cherish his memories his loving and faithful wife, Mary, one brother, James of Raleigh, one aunt; Catherine White, nieces; Arene Barnes, Patricia Jennings, and Joanne Hood and nephew; Alton Terrel. Special thanks to Tracey Ray (Mrs. Mary Harris's niece) for her support during Charlie's illness.
