Obituary

Celestine Saunders Wade Wiggins, the daughter of the late Bettie Saunders Willie and Exum,Wade and step-daughter of Righty Willie was born on April 15, 1930, in Halifax County. She slipped peacefully away on Friday, May 29, 2009 at her home. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and joined Smith Chapel Baptist Church, Enfield. She later moved her membership to Little Lion in Halifax, NC.

She was reared in Halifax County and educated in the Halifax County Schools. She worked many years as a personal nurse's assistant. She was a loving and caring person all her life, always extending a warm smile, a friendly word and a helping hand. She has now entered into rest which Jesus Christ promised in His word on whom she depended.

She was joined in marriage to Jim Collins Wiggins of Enfield; this union was blessed with four children. One son, Jim Collins Jr., a son-in-law, Lonnie Bell, Jr., and a Brother, Cardell Saunders preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband Jim Collins Wiggins, her daughters, Cynthia Rev. John W. Smith of Weldon,NC, Barbara Bell of Enfield, NC and her son, Louis (Linda) "Wiggins of Scotland Neck, NC. Her sister Daisy Wade, Enfield, NC, brother-in-laws Marvin "Wiggins, East Orange, NJ, James (Gladys)Wiggins, Norfolk, VA,Ralander (Janealla) Wiggins, Chesapeake, VA. Grandchildren, John Jr. (Tanya), Terence (Monica), Natasha (Stephen), Celicia (Terrilyn), Antonio, Taneisha, Krystal, Jerome, Swante, Delia, Nikki and 22 great-grand children, a special cousin Doreatha S. Higgs, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
