Carla Tracy Wills Bailey was born on August 27, 1966 in East Orange, New Jersey to the proud parents of Nettie Roberts Wills and the late Carlos Wilson Wills. She was predeceased by her grandparents Almyra and Hubert Wills, Sr, and her uncle H. Reggie Wills, Jr.
Tracy led a productive life until her health failed. Throughout her illness she remained optimistic and maintained a positive attitude, until God called her to eternal rest on Good Friday, April 6, 2007.
Tracy, as her family affectionately called her, was born and raised in East Orange, NJ. She attended the East Orange School System and graduated from Clifford Scott High School in 1984. Tracy furthered her education at Sawyer Business School and after graduation she was employed at Prudential Insurance Company. She also attended Keswick Country Club, where she became a culinary chef-in-training.
Tracy married Eric Hassan Bailey with whom she had two beautiful and devoted daughters, Daaiyah and Iyanah, whom she loved and adored. In 1993, Tracy and her family moved to Charlottesville, Virginia, where she became employed with Wal-Mart. Soon after, she was promoted to Co-Manager and continued to diligently pursue the position of store manager.
Tracy shared a wonderful, committed and loving relationship with Grover Giggetts, or "G". He remained faithfully by her side throughout her illness.
Tracy was gifted in many areas, including her passion for cooking gourmet meals, and her interests which included shopping and pampering herself at the nail and hair salon. She was an avid music lover and enjoyed attending concerts, and once received an autograph from her favorite artist, LL Cool J. She also enjoyed collecting elephants and face masks. Tracy's most accomplished talent however, was her devotion as a daughter and a mother.
Rejoicing in her memory, but mourning in her loss are her loving mother Nettie Wills; two daughters: Daaiyah and Iyanah Wills Bailey; former husband: Eric "Has" Bailey; cherished companion: Grover "G" Giggetts; four aunts: Bertha Roberts, Ruth B. Roberts, Ruth R. Henderson, and Anita Wills; two uncles: William Roberts and Robert Roberts; five great-aunts: Geraldine P. Clark, Viola P. Boone, Maczine W. Carpenter, Helen W. Knight, and Marie W. Sykes; three great-uncles: Douglas Boone, James Boone, and Lloyd Sykes; and a host of many special cousins and cherished friends.
