Brenda L. Pitts Lynch Johnson was born September 24, 1948 to the late James Pitts and Beatrice Ashe. The Lord called her home on Friday, March 14, 2008.
Brenda was born and raised in Enfield by her grandparents, Frank and Lucenda Ashe. She accepted Christ and joined Wayman A.M.E. Church and remained a faithful member until her health failed her. She received her education in the Halifax County Public School System.
Brenda was one of four children. One brother, David preceded her in death.
Brenda was married to the late Bernard Lynch.
She leaves to cherish her memory three children: Pamela Knott (Donald) of Wilmington, DE, Wanda Waterman (Michael), also of Wilmington, DE and Carl Lynch (Stacey) of Enfield, NC; 12 grandchildren: Donette, Denise, April, Robert, Chanaka, Dana, Steven, Cartavis, Carvonte, Angel, Catrell, and Renee; four great-grandchildren: Lamaya, Charane, Cartrell and Shaniya, one sister: Dorothy "Dot" Turner of New York, NY; one brother: James Pitts (Rosena) of Englewood, NJ; three aunts: Eulah Wester of Enfield. NC, Flossie Ashe of Philadelphia, PA and Corine Ashe of Baltimore, MD; one brother-in-law: McArthur Lynch (Margaret) of Richmond, VA; one sister-in-law: Mavis Richardson (Nathaniel) of Enfield, NC; a very dear friend: Willie Nicholson of Enfield, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
