Benjamin Mitchell, Jr. the second child of Benjamin and Lou Hazel Mitchell was born August 18, 1948 in Enfield, NC. Benjamin peacefully passed from this life to Eternal Life on Monday, May 25, 2009 at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, NY.
Benjamin grew up in Enfield, NC and received his education at Inborden High School. He was fondly known as "Bug, Ben or Bud" and loved by everyone. He later move to Brooklyn, NY and made it his home. He had a love for buying nice clothing and looking good.
Benjamin was a kind, loving and giving person who was known for giving advice and always there when needed. He was a hard worker who never took a day off and had been working for Custom Protective Services (CPS) for over 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Keith Mitchell.
He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters Kathleen Hutchinson of Brooklyn, NY; Tiehecia Peterson of Mobile, AL; one son Eric Mitchell of Brooklyn, NY; four sisters Patricia Mitchell of Brooklyn, NY; Muriel Mitchell and Sharon Mitchell of Enfield, NC; Sheila Bunn and husband Linwood of Enfield, NC; eight grandchildren Tiffany, Shannon & Phillip Hutchinson; Erica & Kaylyn Mitchell; Christopher Mitchell, Summer & John Jr. Peterson; one uncle Melvin Rogers of Enlield, NC; three Aunts; Helen Crews and Velma Rogers of Enfield, NC; Elsie Evans Daniels of Atlanta, GA; Ms. Betty Spicer of Brooklyn, NY (loving companion) devoted, adoring and caring whom he loved very much and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
New York City was Benjamin's Home for 44 years.
