Annie L. Silver, daughter of the late Lorine and Norman Holmes, was born on April 26, 1946 in Greensville County, VA. She departed this life on January 19, 2010 at MCV Hospital.
She received her education in the Greensville County School System. She attended MCV Nursing Program.
She accepted Christ at an early age.
She was united in holy matrimony to Melvin M. Silver on August 2, 1968. They were married forty-two years. To this union, two sons were born. She was a loving wife and mother, whom was loved very much and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Annie was preceded in death by her sister, Eveline King.
She leaves to cherish her memories: a devoted husband, Melvin M. Silver; two sons, Melvin L. and Robert D. Silver (both of Richmond, VA); Mother-In-Law, Calion Silver (Roanoke Rapids, NC); six grand¬children (Shakeyla, Ashley, Brittney, Miles, Isaiah and Ayana); 1 great-grandchild (Quariah); one brother, Lorenzo Holmes, Sr. (Bronx, NY); four aunts, Alice Crowe (Clarence), Maude Waller (Bobby), Julie Waller, and Deloise Waller; five brother-in-laws, Thur-man King (Florida), Edward Silver (Ramona), Asberry Silver (Gail) of Richmond, VA, Mark Richardson (Laura) of Hollister, NC, and John Silver (Connie) of Roanoke Rapids, NC; five sister-in-laws, Sally Brinson (Milton) of Rocky Mount, NC, Eveline Jones of Richmond, VA, Jean Silver and Louise Rosser of Hollister, NC, and Hermenia Silver of Enfield, NC; a devoted niece, Bernadean Bates of Richmond, VA and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
