Anderson Morgan, Jr., son of Bishop Anderson Morgan, Sr. and the late Geneva Fenner-Morgan, was born on February 24, '1956 in Halifax County, North Carolina. He departed this life in the early morning of July 23, 2009.
His education was obtained through the public school system of Halifax County, North Carolina. At an early age, he confessed his faith in Christ and joined the Evangelistic Church of Deliverance in Weldon, North Carolina under the leadership of Bishop William H. Cheek, Sr.
Before his health began to fail, he found pleasure in working. Some of his jobs included, Hardees Food System, farming, and Enfield Tire Company. He moved to Dale City, Virginia for a period of time and worked in construction. He relocated to Enfield where his last job was his favorite, working on the car lot of Ball Park Motors with his faithful and good friend, Buck Keeter and others.
Nooney, as he was affectionately called by family and friends, will be greatly missed and remembered.
Nooney was preceded in death by his loving mother: Geneva Fenner-Morgan.
Those left to reflect upon his treasured memories are his father: Bishop Anderson Morgan, Sr., of Weldon, NC; two sisters: Rose Vinson (Joseph) of Rocky Mount, NC, and a dedicated and faithful sister: Christine Wilkerson of Forestville, MD; three brothers: Ernest L. Morgan (Ruthie) of Oxon Hill, MD, Roy L. Morgan, Jerome Morgan (Jeanette) of Enfield, NC; three uncles: Deacon William Fenner (Cynthia), Deacon Arthur Fenner (Ruth), both of Enfield, NC, and Leslie Morgan of Scotland Neck, NC; four aunts: Queen Rodman, Mae Bell Battle and Louise Johnson, all of Scotland Neck, NC, and Mae Francis Johnson of Tarboro, NC; one nephew, reared as a brother: Korenzo Morgan of Enfield, NC; one niece he loved and adored and shared the same birthday with: Angel Armstrong of Forestville, MD; he also had a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends.
