Obituary

Aline Williamson was born on August 5, 1943 in Halifax County, North Carolina to the late Sam and Ella Dickens. She departed from this earthly life on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband Allen Williamson, five brothers Sam Dickens Jr., John Robert Dickens, Benny Mack Dickens, Jimmy Sammy Dickens, Frank Dickens and two sisters Annie Mae Lynch and Christine Coppage.

Aline received her education from the Halifax County School System. At an early age, she confessed Christ and joined Saints Chapel Baptist Church. After high school, she relocated to Brooklyn, New York. When her husband passed, Aline moved to Bronx, New York and resided there until her demise.

Aline had a love for children which lead her to become a teaching assistant up until her retirement. She took pride and joy in shaping the minds of young children. Apart from being an educator, Aline was a dedicated mother, wife, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Aline's favorite holiday was Thanksgiving as she enjoyed the preparation and spending time with her family. Some of the things she loved included watching soap operas, cooking and shopping. But, her favorite thing of them all was creating memories with her loved ones.

She leaves to cherish her memory, a son, Jerry Dickens of Bronx, NY; a daughter, Monique Allen (Adrian) of Mount Vernon, NY; her grandchildren, Jerry Dickens Jr., Matthew Dickens, Julian Dickens, Jeremy Dickens, Justin Dickens, Jerika Dickens, Triston Levene, Giavonna Levene, and Tyler Allen; and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
